My Involvement with Angora Goats

I was a member of the winning team at the Pa farm show sheep to shawl contest 3 of the last 4 years and came in 2nd the 4th. They have changed the rules to allow goat fiber in the warp, In 1999 we used 100% mohair, overdyed natural colored, winning 1st place. In 2000 we used 75% mohair and 25% cashmere, made a white shawl winning 1st place with that one also. I have taken the inspector training class given by the CAGR and I am the Northeast Director of the organization. I am the president of the Pa Mohair and Cashmere Growers. I have been seen at many local events demonstrating spinning and educating the local people about the animals.

The Herd

I keep a flock of about 30 white and colored nannies and have a select number of kids and aged animals available for sale each year. Please contact me for details.
